Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information may be processed when you use MeasureMarks, including information associated with advertising, hosting, and messages you send to us.
Effective: October 7, 2026
1. Information MeasureMarks may process
MeasureMarks does not require you to create an account to use its calculators. Project dimensions and calculator inputs are generally processed in your browser to produce layouts, drawings, mark lists, and printable plans.
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic or security data. If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address and message content.
2. Cookies, advertising, and third-party vendors
MeasureMarks may use Google AdSense and other advertising services. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to MeasureMarks or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to MeasureMarks and/or other sites on the Internet. Other third-party ad vendors or ad networks may also use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies in accordance with their own privacy policies.
3. Personalized advertising choices
You can control or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's advertising controls and industry opt-out tools:
- Google Ads Settings / My Ad Center
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
When Google's consent tools are active on MeasureMarks, you can also use the control to review or change applicable consent choices.
4. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Where required, MeasureMarks will use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework when advertising services requiring consent are enabled. The platform will request and record applicable choices for advertising cookies, local storage, personalization, and related processing. Available choices may depend on your location and applicable law.
5. U.S. state privacy choices
Residents of states with applicable privacy laws may have rights to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined by law. When Google's U.S. state privacy messaging is active, eligible users can use the control to open the applicable privacy-choice dialog.
Supported privacy rights and the precise meaning of “sale,” “sharing,” and “targeted advertising” vary by jurisdiction.
6. Service providers
We may rely on service providers for website hosting, security, analytics, advertising, consent management, and other operational functions. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and under their own contractual and legal obligations.
7. Data retention
MeasureMarks keeps personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate and protect the site, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Third-party providers may apply their own retention periods.
8. Children
MeasureMarks is a general-audience DIY utility site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information.
9. External links
MeasureMarks may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party sites.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site, advertising services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
